An example how this works for our customers is at a UK publishers of one of the nation most renowned newspapers, where we deliver electrical engineering expertise in the installation and maintenance of the high voltage and low voltage electrical networks at two major print plants.
SSE Enterprise Utilities has won a long term contract with Cube Housing Association to design, build, own and operate a district heating system for more than 1,500 properties at the Wyndford Estate in Maryhill, Glasgow. The scheme is one of the largest projects of its kind in the UK.
SSE Enterprise Utility were given this unique opportunity by GEW2 to adopt the electrical infrastructure for a new recycling plant for Jayplas Recycling Ltd. The High voltage electrical network will provide the new recycling plant with a total load capacity of 3,000kVA.
Salt Union are owned by Compass Minerals Company, based in Kansas, USA. SSE Enterprise Utilities were approached by the client to design and build a large electrical network to service the expansion to the existing rock salt mine in Winsford, Scotland. In order to meet the huge electrical demand, SSE Enterprise Utilities installed a 12MVAPrimary Substation to service the site.
